Octogon House Opens May 4th!

As a local resident of Watertown, Wisconsin, I am very proud of our historic Octagon House. It is a beautiful and fascinating example of mid-19th century architecture, and it is one of the best-preserved octagon houses in the country.

I have taken the tour of the Octagon House several times, and I always learn something new. The tour guides are knowledgeable and passionate about the house, and they do a great job of bringing its history to life.

The house itself is truly unique. It is difficult to believe that it was built in 1854, as it features many amenities that were not common until much later, such as central heating, running water, and ventilating systems.

One of my favorite things about the Octagon House is, of course, its octagonal design. The central spiral staircase is particularly impressive, and it offers stunning views of the house and the surrounding grounds.

The Octagon House is a must-see for any visitor to Watertown. It is a truly special place that offers a glimpse into the past.

I am especially grateful that I live within walking distance of the Octagon House. It is a wonderful place to visit on a sunny afternoon, and I always enjoy learning something new about its history and architecture.

Watertown Farmers Market Opens May 7th.  Can't wait for some local fresh produce!

I recently attended the Watertown Wisconsin Riverfest annual event, and I had a great time! The event is free to attend and is held over four days at Riverside Park. There is something for everyone at Riverfest, including live music, a craft fair, a classic car show, a 5K run, chainsaw art demonstrations, a carnival, fireworks, food trucks, and a beer garden.

One of the things I enjoyed most about Riverfest was the variety of live music. There were national headliners, regional music acts, and even a mariachi band. I saw the Pop 2000 Tour, which featured Chris Kirkpatrick of *NSYNC, O-Town, LFO, Ryan Cabrera, and David Cook. It was a lot of fun to sing along to all the old hits!

I also enjoyed browsing the craft fair. There were over 100 vendors selling a variety of handmade goods, including jewelry, art, home décor, and food. I bought a few unique gifts for my friends and family.

Overall, I had a great time at the Watertown Wisconsin Riverfest annual event. It is a well-organized and family-friendly event with something for everyone. I highly recommend checking it out next year!
